Since the global COVID-19 pandemic the UK Government has been constantly updating its guidelines concerning social distancing. Businesses and public places are advised, where possible, to maintain 1m+ / 2m between people through various means, including signage and floor graphics.

Our floor stickers fall into two separate product categories: Indoor Floor Stickers and Outdoor Pavement Stickers.

Floor stickers can be printed in single or multiple designs, to suit your requirements, at any size and shape.

Indoor Floor Stickers



Indoor stickers are ideal for way marking, one way systems, 1m+ / 2 metre spacing in shops, gyms, leisure centres, beauty salons, museums, galleries, restaurants, bars etc.. Floor stickers can be custom printed with your branding, logos or any social distancing messages, in any design, shape and size to suit your requirements. Outdoor stickers are suitable for marking 1 metre plus / 2 metre spacing on pavements, asphalt, tarmac, brick or concrete and are ideal for marking the ground where it is safe to queue outside shops, leisure centres (gyms, beauty salons etc) and hospitality venues (pubs, bars, restaurants, takeaways, cafes and hotels). Indoor Floor Stickers are suitable for use in retail stores, hospital and school corridors and on any indoor floor surface that is flat, clean and grease-free. 7What is the R-rating of the floor stickers and what does the R rating mean?

Our indoor stickers are R9 rated and our outdoor stickers are R12 rated for external use.

What is the R rating?

The R rating is a measurement given to floor sticker material, that has undergone the ramp test (hence the R), in a shod floor environment. They are given a score or result based on the angle at which the material becomes slippery. The R scale is R9 To R13 (with R13 being the highest).

8How do you apply floor stickers?

Floor stickers are simple to install.

Firstly the area they are to be applied to must be cleaned. This applies to both indoor and outdoor surfaces. Indoor surfaces need to be grease, dirt and dust free. All surfaces must be dry.

Outdoor sticker will require that all loose gravel etc is removed and the surface is not oily and grime free.

Stickers must not be applied when the temperature is below 10°C

Outdoor stickers do not require any heat to install or remove.

Once the area is clean, remove the backing paper from the stickers and apply to the surface. Use a hard rubber roller to ensure that all areas and edges of the stickers are compressed to the surface, if this is done correctly then the sticker should take on the texture of the surface applied to.

If air bubbles remain in the sticker once applied, a small pin prick should be used to puncture the surface to remove all air, ensuring the sticker completely adheres to the surface.

9How long do floor stickers last?

There are lots of factors that affect how long the floor stickers will last so there are no guarantees.

Factors include the material that they are printed on and the amount of foot fall and traffic they are subjected to.

Outdoor floor stickers can withstand a wide range of temperatures and endure most environmental conditions.

Please speak to our team for further advice and specification sheets for the materials if required.

10How do you remove floor stickers?

Outdoor floor stickers are printed on alumigraphics foil based media, which can be removed by peeling the stickers up at an angle of less than 45°. The decals can be typically be removed without leaving residue.

Indoor floor stickers can be removed by peeling them up, however if the stickers are stuck fast heat may be required. Gently apply heat over the sticker e.g. with a hairdryer to warm the adhesive allowing the stickers to be removed. The adhesive may leave residue.

Outdoor stickers printed on alumigraphics material can be disposed of with the aluminium recycling.

11Are vinyl floor stickers waterproof?

Indoor floor stickers are printed on vinyl, outdoor are printed on a foil based media, both products are waterproof, although they do need to be installed when the surface is completely dry.

12Where to buy floor stickers that will stick to tiles?

Our outdoor floor stickers are printed on a foil based print media and will adhere to brick, asphalt, concrete and tiles.

They are easy to install on all these surfaces but will need the flooring to be dry before the stickers are put in position.
