Hazchem panels and emergency action codes
For the carriage of dangerous goods in Great Britain, Hazchem hazard warning panels can provide emergency services with critical information about the substance being transported.
A UK Hazchem panel can incorporate the relevant Emergency Action Code (EAC), UN substance identification number, hazard class diamond and specialist advice telephone number, together with other required information where applicable.
The Emergency Action Code communicates information intended to assist the emergency services when responding to an incident involving the load.
