Display board is the name given in the print trade to white faced cardboard that is a sandwich of recycled grey paper pulp with smooth white paper coverings on both sides. Starting at a thickness of 0.7mm (700 microns) it is available in thicknesses of 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 1.75mm and 2mm, offering a rigid, but light weight display printing material.
Display board can be printed single or double sided and being a paper based product it is 100% recyclable. Although it is predominantly used for internal point of sale, display and promotional work, a waterproof variety is now available for short term outdoor use such as bus side and transport advertising.
In thinner grades display board becomes classed as card, below that categorised as paper.
