Transparent Stickers



Transparent vinyl stickers can be printed in full colour and we can even print white!

Here at Screenprint and Display we have various methods available to print clear stickers. This is important because when digitally printing inks directly onto transparent vinyl they can appear translucent, (the easiest way of describing this is to compare it with stained glass). The colours on the sticker will therefore alter depending on the colour of the surface to which it is stuck. If this isn’t the effect you require then there are various methods we can use to create solid colours, including under pinning your artwork with white ink.

We can also produce metallic transparent stickers. There are various metallic colours available.

The stickers can be produced with either a gloss or a matt finish.

1Can you print white onto transparent stickers?

Yes we can print any colour including white onto the vinyl.

2Can transparent stickers be cut to shape?

We custom cut the vinyl stickers so you can have any shape or custom design (subject to sight of artwork).

3Can transparent stickers be screenprinted?

Yes we screenprint clear vinyl stickers all the time. Screenprinting is cost effective on long runs and allows us to match pantone colours, it also ensures that the colours are solid.

4What size can you print transparent vinyl stickers up to?

We can print large format stickers up to approx. 5m long by 1.3m wide. If you have large format requirements call us to discuss your needs.

5What is underpinning?

Underpinning is when a layer of white ink is applied underneath the colours of an image, when printed onto transparent vinyl, to ensure the colour appears solid rather than being translucent.

Case Study - Waterproof stickers durable enough for Whitewater and Sea Kayaking paddles.



Mitchell Blades manufactures paddles used by world class Kayakers, including 10 times world champion Claire O’Hara. It is therefore key that the stickers they use to brand their products are both waterproof and durable.

Screenprint and Display Ltd are able to meet these requirements, by producing a variety of vinyl stickers, which are suitable for use on paddles, kayaks and canoes. The range of stickers includes silver metallic, white printed and full colour designs produced on transparent vinyl.

Some of the stickers, used on the whitewater and sea kayak blades, are custom shaped to suit the branding and the design of the paddles.
