How can I waterproof a poster?

There are many reasons why you may need a poster to be waterproof, mainly due to the environment it will be displayed in.

Here are a few examples:

• 1. The poster is displayed outside e.g. event advertising or marketing campaigns
• 2. Posters will be hung undercover, but they are still exposed to the weather, or they are in a damp environment. e.g. in garden centres, bus stop timetables.
• 3. Waterproof posters are displayed in cases or windows where condensation occurs.

At Screenprint and Display we would ensure the posters are printed on 220micron polypropylene which is a waterproof material. The graphics are printed directly on the material and provided ready to be hung or displayed.

Once the campaign or event is over, the posters can be recycled and therefore do not need to go into landfill.
