Using sign boards to highlight CCTV & security measures to deter burglars

21/09/2023

Between September 2019 and August 2020 there were “276,273 burglaries reported in the UK” (UKcrimestats.com). It is therefore key to have security measures in place at both business and domestic properties. Security companies and technology can protect and watch property 24 hours a day providing that piece of mind so you don’t need to worry.

Advertising that your business or property is monitored by 24 hour surveillance, CCTV or guarding, through the use of well positioned Correx sign boards is very effective. These warning signs are a visual deterrent used by many security companies successfully. They also help ensure your company complies with all data protection and GDPR requirements if using CCTV.

Security sign boards are not only used to alert intruders, they also provide instant contact information for anyone who may see any suspicious activity. In addition, they provide an advertisement for the security company to by passers who may be interested in similar services within the area.

Warning boards are usually printed on 4mm white Correx, which is durable, waterproof, and fully recyclable. Whilst security and warning sign boards contain different information or images about the service that is offered (e.g. guarding, CCTV etc), the majority display the logo of the surveillance / guarding company, their website and contact telephone number. It is also an opportunity to advertise all company accreditations.

Correx signage can be custom printed in any shape and size as required, however, a popular sign size used within the industry is 600mm x 400mm (approx. 24” x 16”). Reflective sign board options are also available. The security signs can be supplied pre-drilled or with eyelets, ready to install on gates, fences and walls as required.
