Printed Estate agent signs – Correx For Sale boards.
Printed single or double sided, and used by estate agents to advertise properties for sale, rent, or lease. The printed Correx® signs can be placed in gardens, adjoining land, in windows, or fixed to the property.
Choose from T boards, hanging, v boards and flag boards to suit the property and branding of your estate agency.

Correx board printing is widely used to promote candidates and political messages, during local and general election campaigns. Correx is also easily mounted to sticks to make lightweight demo placards for marches, demonstrations and the like.

Correx® is a trademark of Corplex but is also referred to as Corex, Corvex, Cortex as well as corrugated plastic or fluted plastic.
Correx® is a produced from polypropylene resin and is a twin walled plastic with corrugated middle.
These corrugated sheets are available in different sizes but most commonly used in 4mm and 6mm. Although Correx® boards can be made as thin as 2mm and as thick as heavyweight 10mm, which is ideal for large format printed signs, outdoor advertising boards, hoardings and pitch side advertising.

Standard Correx® sheets are (8ft x 4 ft) 2438mm x 1219mm but we can spread your design over multiple panels if required.
No everything is custom made so you can have any size plastic boards printed. Some of the standard size signs we get requests for are;

This is a question with lots of different answers. First of all the thickness and weight of the sheet need to be considered. The thickness of the sheet, or caliper, is measured in millimetres, whereas the weight of the sheet is measured in grammes per square metre. This is also known as the grammage, or abbreviated to gsm. This is a simple calculation of how much a piece of Correx®, sized 1000 x 1000mm, weighs in grammes.
Correx® type plastic is made by various suppliers, who all make a variety of both thicknesses and weight of sheets. The weight of the sheets may be different, although the thickness is identical, alternatively two manufacturers sheets may weigh the same, but be of different thicknesses. This comes down to how much actual plastic there is in the make-up of the sheets. The structure of some sheets may be lighter than others, but achieve the same overall thickness. Makers reduce the weight of plastic in the sheets to keep cost down.
In answer to the question ‘how strong is Correx®’, it bends and folds very easily, but will not snap. It is simple to cut, but virtually impossible to tear. It has strong weather resistance, but will ultimately fail after simple over exposure to direct sunlight.
Correx® signs can be fitted in lots of ways, depending on where you want to display them. For outdoor use, it’s easy to use with screws and washers, drilled corner holes would make fitting with plastic cable ties simple. For inside use it can be mounted with double sided tape or tabs, as it’s so light.
The simple answer is YES. The flute direction in Correx – corrugated plastic material plays a crucial role in the durability, flexibility, and mounting of your sign.
Bending and rigidity: Correx bends easily along the flute direction (piping) but remains rigid when bent across the flutes. This can impact the structural integrity of the sign.
Mounting and display: Flute direction affects how the sign will hold up in different mounting scenarios:
- If using a single post in the centre, horizontal flutes provide more rigidity, preventing the sign from bending in the wind.
- If mounted on two posts at the edges, flute direction becomes less important since the sign has more support.
- For wall-mounted signs, flute direction is irrelevant as the wall provides full support.
Sign size and thickness: Smaller signs are less affected by wind and weather, making flute direction less critical.
Thinner Correx (e.g., 2mm) is more flexible than thicker options (e.g., 10mm), so flute direction matters more for stability.

Is Correx® the right choice for your custom printed signs?

Correx® (trade name) is a lightweight corrugated material made from extruded polypropylene. It is 100% recyclable (in waste stream 5), and is available in a wide range of thicknesses and weights. It is perfect for the printing of short to medium term weatherproof outdoor signage, where cost is an important consideration.
It is a fluted material so is easily bent in the direction of the flutes but much harder to bend across the flutes, this therefore needs to be considered in the design to ensure the signage is printed correctly so they don’t bend easily in the wind. The flutes can be seen on the finished signage, unlike Foamex which offers a smooth surface.
Correx® signs can be pre-drilled or supplied with eyelets on request. Corex is easy to display by screwing or nailing it to walls, posts etc.
