We regularly get asked by customers what size standard posters are. Obviously there isn’t a straight forward answer to this, as posters can be made at absolutely any size you need.
Basically a poster is a simple way of getting a message across in an economical way, and can be used both indoors or outdoors.
Although standard poster sizes have been adopted, they can be printed and cut to any size to suit the requirement in hand. Posters don’t necessarily need to be printed on paper either.
We regularly produce waterproof posters on 100% recyclable plastic for use in tough outdoor conditions, or from rigid 100% recyclable corrugated ‘correx’ type plastic, which make ideal temporary signs for events, shows, notices and warning type signs.
Plastic poster signs can be printed up to a huge size of 2440 x 1220mm. (8x4’)
(Double royal is an Imperial size used on the railway network to suit standardised poster cases in situ across the UK railway stations)
Landscape refers to a sheet that is printed to be viewed with the long sides at the top and bottom.
Portrait refers to a sheet that is viewed with the short sides at the top and bottom.
